Engaging AP - Expert Mode using AP Panel - Engage then Disengages

Just starting to practice proficiency with the AP. When trying to engage AP for first time of a flight using SV-AP Panel, I get the message AP engaged and then immediately afterwards message about AP disconnect. Do I have a "bounce" in my AP panel button or am I engaging it incorrectly??

Try a different pushing the button style....i.e. your way of doing it. You might be bouncing the button. If it was faulty I would expect it to randomly affect you at other times.

It will connect after I push the AP button a time or two, so at least I think I do not have a stuck AP disconnect switch.
You can also engage by holding the disconnect button for more than 3 seconds. That will give you hold current roll and rate of climb/descent. You can then modify pitch and roll to what you want.
