    Remote compass location?

Les, I've built an RV-9 so this may or it may not help you. In my -9 I mounted it to the top of the tailcone, one bay behind the baggage compartment. This picture should give you an idea of how and where I mounted it: http://www.repucci.com/bill/electrical/oat%20probe%20wire%202.jpg Never...

    Drone Screens for EFIS Systems

This comes back to a request I made over a year ago. Can you break apart the CPU and the screen so the screen can be flush mounted rather than require a cut in the panel? It would also allow future screen upgrades w/o changing the CPU? It would also solve the RV SbS panel issue with regard to...

Capacitive to voltage fuel gauge converters

    Flush Mount Bracket

John, Measure it before cutting. If you are building an RV, the distance between the panel and sub-panel may require you to cut a big hold in the sub-panel to accommodate the electrical connections, if not the unit itself.

Capacitive to voltage fuel gauge converters

How will these units be powered? Will they require an "excite field", 12V line from the electrical system, or none of the above? I'm just trying to plan ahead. Thanks

Capacitive to voltage fuel gauge converters

Any word on when these will become available? My preference is to go with a Dynon product but I'm running out of time.

    EGT/CHT Thermocouple Wiring

Ok, that is clear but I have one additional question. Do they have to be the same length or can I have wires of four different lengths?

    2nd EFIS display?

As I daydream about how I want to set up my panel I already know that both the EFIS and the EMS units will be mounted in front of the pilot. I understand that the EMS can display the EFIS information and Dynon suggested I put the EMS on the right side (My wife wants to get her PPL in my RV-9...

    Remote compass mount

Is there any chance I can get an accurate drawing of the remote compass module so I can fabricate a mount for it? I will install both your EFIS and EMS when ready but don't want to buy them until the fuselage is complete and I start installing instruments but it would be nice to have a place to...

    on EFIS Placement and redundancy

Re:  on EFIS Placement and redundancy Having owned a '41 T-Craft w/ no electrics the thought of just having a starter is high tech in my mind. However, after talking the redundancy issue over with a number of people who have installed Dynon units and other EFIS displays I’ve decided to install...

Using the original Van's pitot location

Ok, you got me to finish filling that hole. Check my web site for details. The original patch I used was too thin and flexed a good bit so I replaced it with something much thicker. It looks good but is still visible, good thing it is on the underside of the wing. Bill...

Pitot plumbing lines and the Safeair1 mount

Capt. John, No, I'm happy with the way it came out. Of course I haven't hung my wing yet so I could be in for a load of hurt when that happens. As far as I know so far, the location should work out fine. The trick was drilling the 2nd hole after the top skin was riveted on. I bought an...

Using the original Van's pitot location

Kelly, There are some pictures on the wing page of my web site of the Gretz mount.  (www.repucci.com/bill/baf.html) In the picture taken inside the wing you can see the small patch I put over the hole I drilled for the Van's pitot.  (Still wish I hadn't done that!)  I'll rivet a small disk in...

    VFR audio panel?

An audio panel that can take inputs from your EFIS and engine monitor as well as two radios, an entertainment source, and work as a good stereo intercom would be outstanding! I’m not talking about something for IFR flight, just something for a simple VFR panel. The second radio input for must...
