    HDG Increase on Take Off

I got now 3 D10A in my panel, all linked through the DSAB, each one having it's EDC and sharing one common OAT probe. One is used as EFIS, one as HSI and one as MFD, mostly showing the fuel page of the EMS. On Take Off and initial climb I do now suffer on the two most recent units an increase...

    Garmin 430 / 530 NAV support

CFCNX's question: By holding the outer left button you will come in the menu where you select the kind of screen and it's rotation. Here you can configurate your scroll sequence, but also which screen will be the boot screen. So having no NAV display for the GNS430, as you describe, I would...

HSI ease of use- your experience

In the planes I fly on my job, having traditional HDG bugs, the procedure is to twist it to the new HDG just before or when initiating the turn. On my private little baby - which is Dynon equpied - I make it slightely different, as I don't like to toggle switches: I turn the aircraft to the new...

    Garmin 430 / 530 NAV support

I actually had now lately my former GNC250XL replaced by a brand new GNS430. Unfortunately on the GPS-HSI page of the D10A, I still do have the same kind of drop outs as I previously had on the GNC250XL. It seems that the handhelds as (196, 296, 396 and 496) are better readable by the Dynon...

    Dynon GPS Support

Just keep resale value in mind, in case you once would like to trade the GNC 420. The GNS 430 is not that much more expensive than the 420, but in resale it's much simpler to realize a good price for. As I could further understand, Dynon seems to be considering the launch of a converter that...

    Checklist Option Pop-Up

I am just about to finish an upgrade from my actual 1 x  D10A -  1 x EMS 10 configuration to a 3 x D10A - 1 x EMS 10 configuration, which will give me virtually any option and redundancy. One handy option that came to my mind now is the Pop-Up of a Softkey for Emergency Checklists. I imagine...

    Wireing question SL30 - D10A

I am actually upgrading my panel and adding more Dynon's. I will now have a total of: 1 EMS 10 3 D10A I am going to wire the GNS 430 in the EMS. As I don't want a switch, the SL30 is going to be wired in the D10A. Question : Do I need to wire the SL30 into every single D10A or is it sufficient...

    Flight Deck D180+ Garmin 150xl

When I did it with my 250XL, the local Garmin Rep told me to use I/O 1. He explained it be somewhat as the I/O 2 was to communicate with a laptop computer when doing firmware updates. I do not remember exactly, but I have it hooked up on port #1 and it works fine. Good luck and best regards...

    Dynon GPS Support

I have the GNC250XL hooked up. It does work but once in maybe 3 minutes the CDI jumpes back to 000/180°, then it looses  CDI, keeps the RMI needle on 000/180° and back it is. All this goes that fast, you hardly can see it. The behaviour is in general ok. Best regards Thomas ;)

    Repeater EFIS

I suspect there is a large market for the repeater display, especially after reading postings here, particularly in the case of tandem-seat aircraft where a rear seat display is desired.  At the same time, $200-$400 is not a realistic expectation for the retail price of a quality display, but...

    dual efis

Hi Glasair1, I am just about to install what you intend. I am actually going to replace a Sandel SN3308 with a second D10A which will be stacked under the first D10A. Instrumentwise I will put small 2inch Instruments around the two EFIS which will include: ASI, ALT, VSI and the new small...

    Fuel Flow on Rotax 912/914

Simn, I think it does work with the 914 as well. How the fuel devider works, it's more a question of where the return line starts than anything else. But if you want to buy the part, you will most probably have to call a Rotax dealer, then you make sure. Best regards Thomas ;)

    Take off and Landing Time

It was only an Idea    Because in Europe........ So did I think, when I brought my proposal in. But as you see......... there will come up x-more arguments why it should not work. Trio Avionics made it work on their autopilots, so.... At least we do have decent watches over here and don't...

    Take off and Landing Time

When is "after landing"? You could give options, just two of them coming to my mind: - Speed below 30 Knots IAS - Engine shut down I personally would prefer the second one. So I could turn of the engine, switch of avionics etc. and before switching off the battery master, I could get all...

    Fuel Flow on Rotax 912/914

I was reading in several topics about installing a Flowscann in to a installation with the Rotax 912/914 engine. Obvioulsy several collegues are concerned about the possibility to install the fuel flow feature due to the return line. Obvioulsy some of you even considered a second flow scann...

    Take off and Landing Time

Why not creating a "Flight Summary Page" that pops up after landing. This page could include: - Take Off Time - Landing Time - Time Flown - Distance Flown - Fuel used - ....... any other ideas........   ;) Kind regards Thomas

    Problems with DG overshooting

My COM 1 was also disturbing the heading for quite a while, mostly on frequencies of 124.00 and above. After quite a search and close to get crazy,  :P............    we finally found out, that the disturbing signal was coming trough the OAT probe. The cable of my OAT probe is now routed...

    New HSI

What about bringing just GPS TRK as an icon on the heading tape on the ADI? Another great feature would look as follows: Once an ILS is tuned in via the SL30 there will either two CDI needles appear, overlaying the ADI or one small lateral bug moves on the lower side of the ADI, one vertical...
