I know that if you have the AP74 hooked up to an intercom that you don't NEED to have the alarm that is generated from the 180 hooked up put if you already have the alarm hooked up will it not allow the voice data? Hooked up to an intercom with two seperate unswitched inputs.

5.1.1 . And yes they are but it is hard to prove because you guys didn't include an LED on the servos. I spoke with Dynon Tech support yesterday and am going to try to see if I can find any wiring issue.

Neither my 180 or the updater SW can see the two AP Sevos. Only thing not connected is the Voice Audio Out from the AP74.

Re: Is this the right cable. I guess not I just got around to trying to connect my 180 to the computer. As soon as it connects the compter flashes one the "shutting down because of a major error" messages and restarts.

Dynon currently recomends the Keep Alive line be disconnected. From the current release notes: 5/26/09 Note: It is no longer recommended that Keep Alive be connected EFIS and EMS products.

Will a pair of wires that have been twisted together work for the required twisted pair or do you need specialized wire?

Will it work with the engine off or is it just not powering on at all now? If it the latter check all fuses/cb and connections.

I understand that. This request is more for the RAC grip wiring than Dynon wiring. There are lots of diagrams out there for the whole thing if you are using RAC indicators but not so many if you aren't and are using the 180 as the indicator. Just trying to tap the collective knowledge of...

Should the 180 be getting and displaying CDI and HSI info from the 496 when the 496 is in simulator mode?

By level I meant angle. It was my watching a guy try to make the remote in a wing match the angle of the panel mounted 180 that was problematic.

Putting it in the wing can be problematic from an installation standpoint because the it has to be level with the Dynon box in the cockpit.
