installed new 9 pin serial cable this am. went flying all well for 1.3 hrs, then failed 4 times. first 3 times it came back on in less than 30 sec. the fourth time it stayed off 5 mins. I then powered down skyview and powered back up and it came on and stayed on for the duration of flight...

am still having trouble with ems screen displaying a large red X and the words ems failed. have checked wiring connections. today it failed again. other times it came back on after 2 or 3 minutes, today it failed and did not come on. it had a message at button 8 that read ems fail standby...

yes, I get a message alert. it says ems failed

twice while flying today the ems screen displayed a red x and the words ems failed. after a minute or two it would start working again. what gives

i have tried at least 6 times to update av data with no sucess. have updated several times before with no problem. am running 7.1 program

after installing 7.0 a/pilot in-op. warning message says software mismatch

it does both but mostly it jumps up past 5500 rpm and back down. it seems to only do this while doing runup. it does not seem to be a problem while flying

when doing run up and try to set rpm at 4000 for mag check, rpm jumps all over the place. impossible to tell what rpm really is, I have skyview with 912 uls engine. also egt rises to max when transmitting on radio. release talk switch and it returns to normal. rpm seems normal at other times.

i have same problem with egt. egt reading rapidly rises when hit ptt switch. also vsi shows 50 fpm climb while transmitting. thanks--darrell

did some more digging this morning. The cht readings are #1-106,2-4,3-39,4-61. Hooked cht wire to oil temp sensor-readings did not change. hooked oil temp wire to cht sensor & got oil temp reading. both cht sensor wires have .5 volt and checked all grounds, everything is grounded to a ground...

I have skyview system with all the latest downloads, have rechecked that all is wired correctly, and just dont know what else to do. Also I cranked the engine today without starting, and got no oil pressure indication. If you want you call me at 580-747-4475. thanks

I am ready to start the set-up for my skyview, being somewhat computer handicaped, I am not sure how to go about it. If I am understanding correctly, I start by downloading the most recent updates and the engine parameters for the rotax. Is this correct?--thanks

Re fuel pressure sensor for rotax 912. I was sent p/n 101690 0-15 psi sensor, but reading instructions it seems that P/N 101715-000 0-5 psi sensor is the one I need for a gravity feed system. Help please. darrell pralle, building a 7 tri-gear.
