I have a "Remote compass not detected" message on my D10A,  I can remove it by decluttering the screen but wondered whether  it is possible to disable the remote compass and revert to the internal compass of the D10A. :D

Brantell, Thanks for the assistance, changed the NMEA setting to Normal & the CDI returned, this only seemed necessary on Ver 5.3, each other update has required no alteration to the 296. regards JIM ;)

I recently received my D10A back from repair with firmware 5.3 loaded. My D10A is connected to a Garmin 296 and prior to repair displayed the cdi magenta line on the GPS screen, however this is now missing on this screen together with the course CRS. The rest of the information ie TRK DTW etc on...

Hi Thanks for the fast response, I have reconnected the unit and the screen returns to full brightness and the internal battery is charging away. Thanks again for the excellent repair service, much appreciated :D

I have just received my D10A back from Dynon repair, excellent service!!!! Just one question, out of the box the screen is very dim with a "internal battery low" message, indicating 13 volts. Is the dim screen totally due to the low battery and will normal brightness return on re-connection to...

I spoke with Dynon who were most courteous and gave me a returns number. The unit was sent from England and was back with me in 14 days , that's what i call service :) Many thanks to a super company. Regards Jim

I have a D10A installed in my near completed RV7a, this has worked faultlessly since installation 12 months ago until today. I flicked the master switch and pressed the left button on the unit to turn it on, the screen went blue as usual for about a second and then switched off, i am now unable...

I am just about to fit a Garmin 330 with my D10A does anyone know which of the 4 serial protocols the D10A should be set to comunicate with the transponder? :-/
