How about building the pressure transducers for the pitot, static, AOA lines right into the pitot tube, and then running signal wires to the EFIS.  With todays glass panels, running pressure lines through the plane just adds unnecessary complexity, weight, and potential failure points. Will pin #15 (external backup power) on the D180's EFIS DB25 connector maintain a charge on an external battery, or should I handle that elsewhere in the electrical system. Thanks. John.
