9 cyl issues after software update

Hoping someone can help me troubleshoot the EMS on my radial. This is installed in a Pitts model 12 and has worked flawless for 10 years. Against my better judgement I recently went ahead and updated the software in my early version sky view. Everything appears normal other than I don't have an EGT or CHT reading for cylinders 7,8, and 9. Obviously I am setup with dual EMS with EMS2 only being used for the extra EGT and CHT readings. This was built and setup with EMS1 showing cylinders 7-9 and EMS2 showing 1-6. When I go to the sensor debug page it appears that all sensors are giving an indication. Im at a loss as to how to get back to where I was prior to the update. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

It may not affect anything whatsoever but I would start from a known point and that, for me, would mean charging the battery before I do anything else. These bits of kit do some stupid things with 'brown outs', so at least get the battery charged up and then see if you get the same results.

From there we can talk re-mapping etc........if required.

I had a fresh battery when I started trying to troubleshoot. I was at it for awhile and finally took the pictures before it shut down so I could post on the forum.

"SkyView can fully monitor CHT and EGT of all cylinders in a 9-cylinder radial engine if dual SV-EMS-220/221s are installed (up to 28 total CHTs/EGTs). Twin engines can also be fully monitored by installing dual SV-EMS-220/221s."

Installation manual, page 7-1. Do you have two EMSs?

Yes, I have two EMS. I built the airplane 10 years ago, All was well until the software update.

Sounds like you lost the setup in the EMS's and they're defaulting to six cylinders.

I would agree with you. What's strange is that it is showing a temp reading for cylinder 4,5,6,7,8,9 and nothing for 1,2,3. The way I have my EMS1 and EMS 2 setup is that EMS2 has cylinders 1,2,3,4,5,6 mapped and EMS1 has 7,8,9 CHT and EGT. In addition when I go to the Debug menu it shows that there is feedback from all 9 cylinders.

I've never done a 9 cylinder setup, so I can't claim experience here. But since it sounds like you have all the required inputs, I'm wondering if this could be a widget issue.

I didn't think about that but you may be correct. I'll look back in my manual and read about setting up widgets. I did this so long ago I don't remember how I went about that.
