ADS-B Traffic symbol

Flying today in traffic lots of targets on the skyview screen. North of Phoenix at 4500' I lost the airplane symbol and it was replaced with a yellow traffic dot with (00), after a couple of turns I realized I was the target. The PFD screen also had the "TRAFFIC" alert.
Can anyone tell me what's going on here or where I can get this understood? Also ADS-B was "PARTIAL".

Sometimes with the mode S sytem the aircraft will see it own shadow. It is an inherent bug that has been in the system since it's inception. No matter who's equipment you are using, that includes Garmin and Bendix King transponders.

The ADS-B system can also exhibit this behavior at times (which is what you were seeing if you saw "ADS-B partial"). We're seeing how common it is through your reports, so thanks for yours.
