Just a suggestion for a possible new feature:
What about adding user-defined custom alarms? The format could be something like:
IF <PARM> (<,>,=) <VALUE> (AND,OR) <PARM> (<,>,=) <VALUE> THEN
The user could select the parameters to be considered (airspeed, OAT, RPM, etc.) and the value to be compared to (less than, greater than, equal). This could be AND'ed or OR'ed with another comparison and the result could trigger an alarm.
Some examples might be: If engine RPM is greater than 1000 and oil pressure is less than 50, set an alarm. Or: If engine RPM is greater than 1000 and canopy is open, set an alarm.
I don't know if this is feasible or not but I just thought I'd throw it out there as an idea. On a side note, I made my first flight the other day with my newly-installed D180. Works like a charm! I am very pleased with it. Since I have an old EMS system, I'm gradually adding/converting the sensors, probes, etc. over to the D180 as I have time.
