I have had a couple of people ask me about my earlier posting regarding alternative CHT temperature senders for the Rotax 912/914.
It is very easy to replace the Rotax supplied resistive senders with Type J thermocouples on the 912/914. This allows you to then use the Dynon EMS standard thermocouple inputs and frees up two GP inputs for other purposes.
You will need 2 x Westach Type J Thermocouples... Part number 712-912K to do this. All you do is remove the existing Rotax CHT senders and thread these (with locktight) into the existing threaded holes. These thermocouples come with leads long enough for most applications.
