Auto Trim Question

My Ray Allen pitch trim servo is wired into my VPX, along with the position sensor. I've ordered a AP-PANEL and intend to use auto-trim so I'll have to pull some wire out of the VPX and connect it to the AP-PANEL. I know I have to move the servo power wires to the AP-PANEL, but I'd like to keep the position sensor wiring connected to the VPX because how I have all the wiring routed. My question is whether this will work. In other words, does the position sensor affect operation of the auto-trim function?

The position sensor is independent of the auto-trim functionality.

I have the AP-Panel (and love it) but did not connect the trim position sensor wires to anything. Works great!

Exactly what I expected. I'll leave all that hooked up to the VPX. Thanks Ray!
