Capacitance Fuel Level Sender

I have the Dynon Capacitance senders installed. I am installing the wireing and I am not sure how to wire the red power wires. The instructions suggest I wire to pin 15 on EMSDB37, but it is wired to the fuel flow. The instructions say I can wire directly to standard 12 V aircraft power.

Does that mean without a circuit breaker or fuse???

Can I piggyback onto the EMS 2A circuit breaker?

Thanks,

From the manual:

Additionally, your capacitive sensor needs to output a variable voltage within the ranges of 0-
5Vdc.

From this I would surmise that you need a source for +5v, which can be taken from D-37 pin 18 (White/Red +5V Excitation).

Check again to see if it is a typo in the manual - if so, please update this thread so that Dynon can make the correction in the next manual update.

On the other hand, if you are like I was during installation it may be that it said 18 but you saw 15. I think I may hold the record for the most re-wiring...

Technically they're 10 Vdc to 15 Vdc, but you can indeed split the 12V power line that normally is used to power fuel flow. Neither device uses much current.
