All,
Just getting started with flight testing. During the first flight, the GTX327 transponder was displaying 1200 to the local tower, but they were getting no altitude info. When I wired the panel, my GTX327 manual stated "Altitude data may be supplied by parallel or serial source. Source used is selected via a configuration page".
So, I wired pin 2 (serial rx) of the GTX327 to pin 41 (serial tx) of my 430W, and also connected my Dynon ARINC 429 module per the wiring diagram to the 430W. Does this sound right? Do I still need an altitude encoder, or does the 430W provide valid info to the 327?
Enclosed is a wiring diagram in Word for you enjoyment...
Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!
