D10 A doesn't power up

I have 2 D10A, connected to the same electrical bus. One has a internal backup battery, the other not and doesn't even have a keep alive. When voltage is roughly below 11v, the unit without battery doesn't power up. The other does, and doesn't warn it is running on internal battery. Is this a normal behaviour ?

Where is your 11V reading coming from? The EFIS-D10A, either with or without the battery, should come up at any voltage above 10V. Note that the instantaneous current requirement at the instant of startup is higher than during normal operation (this is commonly called "inrush current"), and if your power supply can't quite provide enough current, the voltage might be getting knocked back down below the 10V limit as the EFIS-D10A without the battery tries to boot. The one with the battery would make it though, since it can use the internal battery to help.

If the EFIS with the battery comes up on master power and doesn't warn you that it is running off battery power, it is running off of the battery. This can also be confirmed by checking that the "M", or master voltage on the EFIS voltage info item is above 10V.

Also, note that the previous response assumes that you're turning the units on by turning on their power supplies and NOT by pushing the left button. If you're pushing the left button, it means that the one with the battery is definitely running off the battery, and the one without the battery is not seeing a high enough voltage (10V).
