There two formats for presenting the bank angle scale in civil aircraft PFDs: the general aviation (moving scale) format and the commercial aircraft (sky pointer) format.

Can the D10A be configured to either format?

The reason for asking is that we would like to fit a D10A in an aircraft to be used for Upset Prevention and Recovery Training. In this training, correctly interpreting the commercial aircraft PFD format is a key learning objective.

Yes. There are two display modes, "classic" and "modern". They actually change the style of the tapes too. The classic has the numbers on top of the ias and altitude tapes, and uses a sky pointer. The modern presentation has the numbers in the middle, and also adds the animated scolling digits. That presentation uses the GA-style scale.
