D10A HSI and wind

Hi,

I do not have winds showing on my HSI page. My configuration is
Garmin296 with latest software. NMEA set to normal sentence length.
NO OAT sensor so setting OAT manually (is this the reason?) (TAS etc displayed OK as an info field)
Latest REV software in the D10A and external magnetic sensor.
All other GPS data displayed correctly on the HSI page.

I cannot find any reference in the manual which requires an OAT sensor to be fitted but think this may be the reason......

any comments appreciated

Hi Kevin,

Dynon might be on holiday

For wind display to work you DO need the OAT probe. Setting it manually disables the wind display.

Does the OAT probe have to be the one from Dynon or can it be an OAT
that is already installed????

It needs to be our OAT probe.
