I have downloaded the logs from my EMS D-120.
A lot of the data is reasonably understandable after feeding it to Excel and another data crunching stats package that I use.

The manuals seem to have a data layout for streaming data, but not one for the downloadable logs, unless I have missed it.

Just wondering if there is a description anywhere.

I get 'normal' alerts from the EMS such as:
low voltage on startup before firing up the alternator
low oil pressure after shutdown
the occasional shock cooling alarm
but there doesn't seem to be any indication in the logs that these have occurred.

Also wondering what some of the data items mean e.g. Type & Type2 thru 6.

Can anybody suggest somewhere I should look?

The format for the data logs is in the help file for the Dynon Support Program.

Doh!
Didn't look there.

Hmmmmm! Seems a bit limited (e.g. no explanation of what the Type fields are), but I'll soldier on.

My query was more out of curiosity really. The really important things like temps & pressures are reasonably obvious, once one realises they are recorded in US units regardless of the way they are displayed on the unit e.g. fuel flow is logged in USG/hour but displayed in the cockpit in Litres/hour, similar with fuel levels, and temperatures being logged in Farenheit but displayed in Celsius.

Thanks.
