Drop of AP

Two issues:
One the AP keeps dropping OFF after a short time (20 sec)? Fw 5.1.1

DSAB Line?   Do I need a shielded cable for DSAB wire lines?
                                                                      Pin 4&5.

What modes does it drop from/too? There is an issue that we're looking into that will cause the AP to sometimes drop down from NAV to HDG mode when it thinks it has lost the GPS connection. But it doesn't completely disengage.

If your disconnect wire is somehow intermittently grounding, that would do it for sure.

Got back and checked my dis-connect button. It was a Normally Closed
button. I changed to a NO (normally open) button and everything works great - thanks for the help and direction. Mark
