Here is an idea for the future ...
Modern airliners have elctronic monitoring.. Airbus call theirs ECAM for electronic centralised aircraft monitoring.. what it does is intellegently bring up checklists to certain non-normal situations.
The EMS systems have lots of inputs and already have many checklists.. how about making them able to be activated to certain situations?. eg.. when the Oil Pressure is low then the low oil pressure checklist can be displayed. Some may need a more than one event to bring up the apropriate checklist.
The EMS-100 could automatically bring up the checklist in one half of the screen.. the smaller units may have to have the option to bring it up via the DSAB on another screen since you usually need to see the problem AND the checklist to be useful..
It works well in practise.. It would be a 'nice to have' I think.
