EFIS-D120 Amps Unstable

I noticed another thread with amperage issues with the D120. I'm having a different issue, the amps sometimes bounce for a while between impossible negative and positive values. I checked and cleaned the shunt with no change. I removed the D120 and applied only power to it and it is displaying the same issue, only continuously. My question is whether this is expected behavior with no shunt connected or whether I need to send the unit in for service?

One additional note, I can hear a relay clicking on and off inside the unit. Is this normal?

The clicking is normal, but touch base with our support team about the amps behavior. Contact info is in our signature.
