Easy question. I have an older PS Engineering PM2000 Intercom. Are the Dynon Audio Alert signals low volt? I.e. the intercom has an "entertainment Aux-In" which needs to be a low (<1V) signal and it also has an aux mic in which is a standard 12v signal.

Thanks,
Matt

Matt, the output from the EFIS and EMS are actually pretty high voltage, but this can easily be reduced with a resistor. We recommend a variable one in our install manual which will allow you to adjust the volume to where you want. Most people do this and then run into the aux in.

I also doubt that the mic in your system is 12 volts- that probably means that it has a 12V bias voltage on it to power the microphone, but the audio signal it expects is probably still pretty small.
