EMS 220 Ground?

I am installing an EMS 220 with a Rotax 914. I've read the installation manual until my brain has turned to mush, so I'm probably missing something obvious. If I understand correctly, any one of the black/ground wires from the 37 pin connector needs to be connected to the engine mount where other grounds are. And I'm not clear if I need a ground wire from the EMS 220 box to the engine mount/common ground. If so, what size ground wire is needed.

Just use an existing ground wire from the EMS harness.

David, it is best that one of the ground wires from the ems is connected directly to the engine, preferably where the battery ground is attached.
