How to operate the AP from the D10-A menu system

I just installed my AP and plan to use it from the D10-A menu system as I am tight on panel space. I am finding this most confusing and cannot locate any simple instructions in the documentation nor in the forums, which I have spent the last hour searching through. If anyone has a simple cheat sheet on how to operate the AP from the D10-A menu system, please post it. I am looking for simple stuff, like Setting the altitude I want to climb or decend to, Setting a new heading, telling it to NAV when I have a flight plan loaded in my GPS that does output the proper NMEA codes.

I just need, push this button, then that button to do this and the same for doing that.

Please help.

Chapter 7 of the D10A Pilots User Guide, available at http://www.dynonavionics.com/docs/support_documentation.html, has pretty detailed instructions about the usage. the installation guide (available on the same page) covers installation and setup. There isn't a smaller guide available, though.
