IFR in the bumps

I have a general question regarding using the EFIS to keep the blue side up in the bumps.

First let me say I have a D10 and will be getting the upgrade soon to the D10A. So perhaps if the attitude indicator is faster with regard to screen updates with the D10A perhaps my question will addressed with an upgrade.

My question is do others find that the Dynons display erratic attitude indications in the bumps? This is a concern to me as the Lancair 360 that I fly is very responsive. If I were to fly to the EFIS I would be upside down quickly in turbulent air as I overcorrected.

Again maybe the D10A upgrade offers more responsiveness on the attitude indicator?

I'm trying to figure out what to put into the airplane for IFR flying.

Thanks,

Cory

While we're obviously biased, this definitely isn't expected or typical behavior.

One thing to look into is whether you're running the latest EFIS-D10 firmware (under the SETUP|VRSION menu), which is 1.13. Some of the earlier firmware revisions on the original EFIS-D10 squashed some bugs that may affect attitude performance.
