Hi all,
I have an intermittent issue whereby I lose position data from the GPS-2020. I can't tell if it's a signal data issue or power to the module issue. Maybe the following info will help.
CAUTION:
POSITION SOURCE 1 FAIL
NO ADS-B OUT: GPS LOST
ON MAP:
POSITION UNKNOWN
TRAFFIC FAIL
2 x HDX - Data drops to both at the same time. GPS 2020 remains listed in SERIAL 5 but data transfer is static. There doesn't seem to be any consistent reason for loss. Sometimes it's on the ground, other times in the air after take-off or 45 minutes into flight. Not convinced it's heat related.
GPS Module is mounted on the top of the fuse behind the canopy (RV-7A).
I know I must be a wiring issue but if I can narrow it down to either signal or power that would be helpful. Would the module still display in the system if power is lost?
Cheers,
