Pitch servo interference, RV-6A

I have installed the pitch servo as described in the instructions and am concerned that the bolt head on the servo arm passes the vertical structure supporting the bellcrank with virtually no clearance.  I can replace the standard washers with thin washers, buying me perhaps 1/16 or 1/8, but even that is very, very close in a place where I really don't want any chance of a problem.

Suggestions?

Here are pictures of my -7A that might help confirm proper installation.

Although we have never heard of an issue with the installation, if you feel better about it you could use an AN23 Clevis bolt and reduce the head profile even more. The AN23 has the same 125,000 PSI specification as the AN3 bolt. If you are concerned about the bolt backing out then use a drilled shank with castle nut and cotter pin for added security.

You would need an AN23-11A (leave the A off if you want to use the castle nut and cotter pin)
