Is there any chance I can get an accurate drawing of the remote compass module so I can fabricate a mount for it?

I will install both your EFIS and EMS when ready but don't want to buy them until the fuselage is complete and I start installing instruments but it would be nice to have a place to mount the compass and run the wires before then.

Thanks,
Bill

Hi Bill,

This page has a couple drawings of the remote compass at the bottom. The page is somewhat buried on our site; I apologize for that.

http://www.dynonavionics.com/docs/efis-d10_dimensions.html

Note that the EDC needs to be mounted such that the D9 connector is facing towards the nose, and that the tabs are mounted down.

If you need more information than what's posted there, please let us know.

Did the size of the remote compass change with the new EFIS or is it the same?

I plan on making the bracket to hold the unit this weekend but am afraid it might be a waste of time.

Thanks,

The EDC for the EFIS-D100 is exactly the same as the one for the D-10A. In terms of accessories, the D10A and D100 use exactly the same parts (AOA pitot, OAT probe, EDC, battery).
