Hey all,
Just finishing up the install in my '53 bonanza. Should be up and flying this week.

This was a huge undertaking and we ended up essentially re-wiring the entire plane, removing the old windscreen to replace with a speedslope, replacing the panel (which was structural), and then custom fitting a glare shield. 7 months of work, more custom sheetmetal than I thought, but... this is going in today...

Feel free to hit me with any and all questions if you're thinking about doing this in a V-Tail bonanza.

We will be doing a full video on the complexities of this install here soon. If you happen to be in Southern CA and want to come check it out, just give me a shout.

I highly recommend the Dynon autopilot. It is very smooth and the yaw damper eliminates the tail wag. Really a fantastic autopilot.

MAD1 what model Bo are you installed in? I'm a 1966 V35 and am NOT having the same experience with the autopilot and yaw damper. Did you use a Dynon recommended shop?

I helped an A&P friend install the HDX system and 3 axis AP in his 1976 V35B and it works great.

When you cut your panel, how were you able to figure out the angles and measurements for the bottom center where it connects in the plane. Working on mine now.

That is looking fantastic. I'm about to start in on a similar project with my M35. Is that the panel from McPeck? If so, are you happy with it and did you do most of the cutting of the panel yourself or through the panel maker or with a local CNC shop? I'll have more questions I'm sure. Are you displaying all fuel tanks on your EMS? Would love to see more pics, especially of the back. Thank you for sharing.

Just got back in the group. We got this all done, wrapped up used McPeck's panel. I've got about 180 hours on the setup now.

Not the best photo - (and it’s an A36) - but almost ready to fly. Yes, it felt like I was rewiring the entire plane!

Looks great. I like your layout . I have a dual yoke for my A36 but it would most likely block the navigator. What Autopilot are running?

Yes. Sky view is also able to push frequencies to the Val stby position and sky view displays the LOC/VOR/GS needles if selected as the source. Works as advertised!

Awesome! Just wondering why you install the GNX375 instead of GPS175 and use dynon ADSB in&out?
