SV Intercom

I install a SV Intercom with a Icom A200.

All work fine but sometime when i press the PTT (Pilot or Co Pilot) key i hear a Beep very loud in the headphone.

Someone have the same problem or know why ?

A beep like a clearly electronic sounding tone? Or is it more of a squeal feedback noise?

is like a hight fixed tone, and when happens continue until press the ptt key.

This sounds like feedback from your radio transmitter to your audio system.

We've seen this happen for a variety of reasons. This usually means a lot of RF energy from your radio transmitter is getting into your audio system. Things to try:

1) Turn the intercom off (press the power button). Does it still happen? It might be your headsets themselves. We've seen noise-canceling headsets do this before.

2) Unplug all but one headset, and then try it in the pilot and co-pilot side. Does it only happen on one side?

3) Unplug just the mic jack but leave the headphone jack plugged in. Does it still do it?

Where is the antenna on your plane and what kind of plane?
