VOR stand by Bearing pointer not showing

I have a problem I can’t figure out related to the HSI bearing pointer “number two“ when I have it slaved to the VOR standby frequency on my Garmin GNS255. It did work in the past but over my last few flights the second blue bearing pointer with two bars doesn’t show up. if I swap the VOR from my active and stand by frequencys it does show correct on the number one bearing pointer. And both accurately identify the VOR channel assigned on the 255. I’m thinking I must have caused this somehow by making a change along the way on the layout menu but everything looks correct, all three HSI bugs are set properly and I’ve always kept the VOR active and standby on the two bearing indicators.
any helpful suggestions would be appreciate.
