What does "GALS/LTRS USED" mean?

The fuel used counter on the fuel computer screen records the amount of fuel used since the EMS-D10 was turned on. This is most useful when the engine has been run after adding fuel, but the user forgot to add the fuel in the fuel computer. In this case, the user can subtract the fuel used from the amount of fuel he added and input the resulting added fuel to the fuel computer.

Is there a way to keep the fuel used when you power off? On multiple trips it would be helpful to be able to keep a running record and clear fuel used manually when desired.

Wasn't Dynon working on a prompt that would remind the pilot to reset the fuel-on-board when a change in the fuel level (increase) is detected?

Or, how about a reminder/alarm when the fuel remaining and the fuel level differ by more than a preset amount?

Yes, the EMS can detect the difference between the computer fuel computer value as of the 3.0 release. From the latest installation guide:

"Finally, the ADD THRESHOLD menu allows you to configure the fuel computer to automatically detect the addition of fuel when the EMS was off. The fuel computer will check the fuel level senders at boot and prompt the pilot to add fuel when it measures an increase beyond the set threshold. The threshold is set as a percentage of the full measurable amount of fuel."
