    Autopilot disconnect button

Thanks Steve for the input. All taken on board and whilst I have looked into rigging up a temporary switch there would be quite a lot of work to do in order to do this on my aircraft a Bristell NG5. Access to the switch is quite poor and disturbing the present dual servo wiring and connections...

    Autopilot disconnect button

I have been looking back at emails I exchanged with Don Jones of Dynon back in 2020. No conclusion was found at the time because the problem subsequently went away. See below some email copy I sent to Don at the time following checking Config/Status etc. 'Hi Don, Thanks for the reply.. I have...

    Autopilot disconnect button

Yes a typo...a 5k resistor is fitted and was replaced 4.5years ago as was the actual disconnect button replaced. But at the time years ago the fault continued and then miraculously completely disappered until recently. The button itself works because pressing it it actuates the fault of 'Trim...

    Autopilot disconnect button

Hi , Thanks for the input and questions. In answer to your questions:- Both displays are 'on'. Trimamp?......I don't know what that is but my trims are wired through the Autopilot Button module giving me Autotrim. Double clicking the disconnect switch doesn't make any difference. Double...

    Autopilot disconnect button

Well.. Four and half years later the problem with my Autopilot Disconnect has reared it's head again! Doing exactly the same thing as it did all that time ago! It has worked perfectly every for all these years and all this time on every flight the Autopilot has been used. But now I have the same...

    Classic Skyview Wifi-connection issue

Yes I agree...I believe the answer to the problem lies in the Dynon Software.

Skyview HDX WiFi Dongle and ForeFlight

In my experience with using genuine Dynon wifi dongles or other brand wifi dongles it seems to make very little difference to which you have fitted. The problem that needs to be improved somehow IMHO is in the Dynon Skyview unit itself/or the software and not the actual wifi dongle.

    Classic Skyview Wifi-connection issue

Thanks for the input Kurt. Yes that is what you logically think was the problem...Either one or both of the wifi dongles going bad. However, from when I had problems before like this in 2015 I accumulated a total 'stock' of 6 Dynon wifi dongles, all new, and have recently tried changing and...

    Classic Skyview Wifi-connection issue

Bump! Has anyone got any theories on why the above is happening?

    Classic Skyview Wifi-connection issue

PocketFMS-EasyVfr and twin D1000 Classic SV's both with wifi dongles. I haven't had any wifi connection problems for literally years.until 4weeks ago! I did though have connection problems back in 2015 on initial SV installation. when I had loads of wifi none-connection issues but after a while...

SkyView Autopilot Control Panel buttons getting slow/sticky

There is a mandatory SB on the Autopilot Control Panel for older Autopilot Control panel units manufactured before 06/17. Maybe if your unit is one of these earlier panel units the buttons sticking is also one of the issues for the SB? https://dynonavionics.com/support-bulletins.php

    Autopilot Calibration

Dynon, Thanks for the input and clarification re servo calibration. I was so surprised when all I changed was the Shear Screw and things went haywire. I guess we will never know now why or what actually caused my post screw fitting issue. Anyway now all good! Thanks again, Alan

    Autopilot Calibration

Just to put this to bed... I went back and started from scratch and on this and re-checked the servo pitch arm position and rechecked all physical servo connections. All good. Checked and double checked that I had all original, pre shear screw change, Autopilot settings inputted into both D1000...

    Autopilot Calibration

Thanks for the input.. All Push Pull servos. Lengths of Pitch rod not altered or changed from previously. I just disconnected the pitch arm from the Servo arm when I changed the Shear screw. All flight controls are neutral when starting performing servo calibrations although as i said...

    Autopilot Calibration

I have done the ground configuration and calibration only. All I have changed is a broken Pitch shear screw. So I am confused as to why the previous last 7years in-flight A/P tuned settings need to be different to what they were before?..When all I have changed is a Pitch shear screw. Over the...
