    Autopilot Calibration

Dynon, Thanks for the input and clarification re servo calibration. I was so surprised when all I changed was the Shear Screw and things went haywire. I guess we will never know now why or what actually caused my post screw fitting issue. Anyway now all good! Thanks again, Alan

    Autopilot Calibration

Just to put this to bed... I went back and started from scratch and on this and re-checked the servo pitch arm position and rechecked all physical servo connections. All good. Checked and double checked that I had all original, pre shear screw change, Autopilot settings inputted into both D1000...

    Autopilot Calibration

Thanks for the input.. All Push Pull servos. Lengths of Pitch rod not altered or changed from previously. I just disconnected the pitch arm from the Servo arm when I changed the Shear screw. All flight controls are neutral when starting performing servo calibrations although as i said...

    Autopilot Calibration

I have done the ground configuration and calibration only. All I have changed is a broken Pitch shear screw. So I am confused as to why the previous last 7years in-flight A/P tuned settings need to be different to what they were before?..When all I have changed is a Pitch shear screw. Over the...

    Autopilot Calibration

I have twin D1000's, A/P Module with Autotrim in a Bristell NG5. Owned since 2016. I recently had to change the pitch shear screw which had broken ( Pitch oscillation) and following this I have re-configured and recalibrated the Autopilot (twice). The Autopilot now though in flight wants to be...

Autopilot Rolls Into Turns Like A Fighter Pilot

I wonder if this problem of increased aggressive roll is just happening on Skyview HDX versions, because updating to 16.2.4 on Classic D1000's in my Bristell NG5 appears to have made no difference to roll at all! The autopilot works perfectly as before without displaying any extreme or...

Autopilot Rolls Into Turns Like A Fighter Pilot

I updated/installed V16.2.4 a few weeks ago and so far have not noticed any difference at all in the Autopilot operation in my Bristell NG5. To me, so far at least, it seems to do banks and turns etc just the same as always has done.

    SV-ADSB-472

I have PowerFlarmFusion connected by serial connection up to my D1000's and shows Flarm. Works just great.

RPM Speed Warning in the Cruise

Further to this I put the data upload into Savvy and it showed an Oil Temp drop/spike for 3seconds of 60degrees F which can't happen in reality but it did however give me some sort of lead on where to look. I couldn't see anything wrong with the oil temp sensor connection but I cut the terminal...

RPM Speed Warning in the Cruise

Ok...Now uploaded the Data Log files which show that the high/Low RPM fluctations event shown on Skyview screen lasted 16seconds and although the engine rpm was actuallly perfectly ok and didn't actually fluctuate at all I was getting alerts and Indications of High/Low rpm on screen . It also...

RPM Speed Warning in the Cruise

Thanks for the thoughts. I am pretty sure though there is no fault on the Rotax trigger coils where the rpm is picked up from or the wiring from the engine at all because the CS Prop controller also displays engine rpm ( from same engine feed wire)and that was perfectly stable at 4800 rpm...

RPM Speed Warning in the Cruise

Hi, Suggestions and thoughts on this problem please.. Bristell NG5. Classic D1000's x 2. Rotax 912uls engine with CS Prop. When flying today I got for a few moments whilst in the in the cruise a repeated 'Engine Speed' warning from the nice lady and could see the RPM gauge was fluctuating wildly...

    Autopilot Wallowing

You need to consider the 'default' settings to be the starting point for tuning the Autopilot. I still keep occasionally tweaking my autopilot settings 5years on!

Trig TY91 not talking to SV Classic

Hi Rick, Good to see you are at last bringing your Europa into the 21st century! I believe you are connected/configured to the wrong pins:- According to my installation manual:- Serial Port 1 TX should be Pin 3- Brown/ Violet RX should be Pin 4- Brown/ Orange or alternatively:- If using Serial...
