Thanks for the reply. It sounds like it’ll be easier to let Skyview do its own dimming and I’ll control everything else (Garmin) with the MaxDim. I’m ok with that!

Auto or Panel mount? I’ve already got a MaxDim dimmer that will control my audio panel, radio and GPS. It wouldn’t be too hard to add the HDX screen to it…. just not sure if I should. Pros/cons of each? Thanks!

This whole thread is super helpful as I‘m designing my own HDX installation… I see a 5A breaker for “USB” and a 15A for “AUX POWER.” I’m assuming the 15A is for charging ports, but what is the USB breaker powering?

One the mounting tray, I see the EMS, ADAHRS, ARINC modules stacked. On the left I’m assuming the ADSB IN module? Great idea with a network hub on the side of the radio tray. What’s the connector in front of of it (pic 3)? I can’t quite make out the brand of the avionics mounting rails…...

I’m not sure what’s available on the Skyview side, but the G5 Installation Manual I have says RS-232 inputs on the G5 should be set to MapMX (WAAS Units) or AVIATION (Non WAAS Units).
