D120 Pin 14 only reading 4 volts (should be 5 volts)

just to close this thread, I think I found the issue. After doing some work under the cowl, I forgot to re-secure the fuel line entering the red cube. After re-securing this fuel line at the inlet side of the red cube with its adel clamp, the erratic behavior went away. I think it was...

D120 Pin 14 only reading 4 volts (should be 5 volts)

Thanks for that explanation. Its me who is ignorant. I'm sure the EI tech didn't say voltage from the D120, its just what I understood him to say, but what you say makes more sense. Anyway, it still doesn't change the fact that all voltages are rock solid, so I cant figure out where the...

D120 Pin 14 only reading 4 volts (should be 5 volts)

Thanks guys. I tend to agree with you of both. Pin 15 shows a steady 12 volts and Pin 14 shows a steady 4 volts. I have tried hooking up the voltmeter and wiggle the wires and the red cube to see if I could make either Pin 14 or 15 voltage move, but they both stayed constant. According to EI...

D120 Pin 14 only reading 4 volts (should be 5 volts)

D120 fuel flow gauge reading erratic after 4 years of rock steady operation. I replaced the FT-60 but I still get same erratic readings. D120 EMS Pin 14 runs to the fuel flow gauge (FT-60 in this case). Pin 14 should supply 5 volts to FT-60, but I am reading a steady 4 volts coming from Pin...

    D120 Amps not working

Plane has been flying for 10 years. No problems. Last flight, I noticed the Amps was 0. Voltage rock steady. So I replaced my voltage regulator. Went flying, and Amps still show 0. Then I ran wires directly from the shunt on the firewall to the pin connector on the D120. Ground run, and...

    shock cooling

I respect your opinion, but here is what Lycoming has to say: Sudden cooling is detrimental to the good health of the piston aircraft engine. Lycoming Service Instruction 1094D recommends a maximum temperature change of 50˚ F per minute to avoid shock cooling of the cylinders. Just curious as...

    shock cooling

I have a D120 and in cruise flight I will get a constant "Shock Cooling" alarm. CHT's are steady during cruise flight. Shock Cooling sensor is set for a 50 degree change. What is causing this?

D10A stays in a reboot cycle

I sent it in for repair. Thanks for the response.

D10A stays in a reboot cycle

My Dynon D10A will not get past the blue start up screen, then the screen goes black for a second, then the blue startup screen comes on again.  The white "d" for dynon does appear on the blue screen.  It stays in this cycle until I pull the breaker.  What should I do, send it in for repair?

    Turn anticipation onto final?

Well, I did the approach again from the side of the inbound approach course which originally I posted about in post #1.....and no turn anticipation. I cant figure out whats going on.

    Turn anticipation onto final?

OK, well I did the same approach yesterday, but I approached the inbound course from the other side. I dont think that really matters in any way. On this approach, the 430 showed the turn anticipation and the autopilot did execute the turn anticipation. Just wanted to close the loop on this...

    Turn anticipation onto final?

Yes, Im certain Im not doing vectors to final. Its just peculiar I get turn anticipation on all the other turns depicted on the approach plate except for the turn on the final approach course. I will go find some other LOC approaches and see if I get the same thing.

    Turn anticipation onto final?

I have my G430W tied to my D100/HS34/AP74 autopilot system. When I am flying an RNAV approach, all the turns on the approach plate that lead into the turn onto final perform "turn anticipation." I can see the dotted anticipation turn on the 430W and the autopilot flies the anticipation...
