New Trio A/P install PA28 Issues

I had forgotten about the software update - I had that done before the gear SB came out.

New Trio A/P install PA28 Issues

Just to add to this - there is a service bulletin: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0088/9952/6761/files/SB-002_REV_A_Trio_Pro_Pilot_Autopilot_Servo_Mod_1.pdf?v=1745180536 I was having a similar problem, and they replaced the gear named in the bulletin and now it works really well.

Avi_Nav1 HSI turns Green and I get the course needle with the gap, but no lateral guidance / offset.

Skyview + Trig 56A + Avidyne IFD440 Nav Display Problems

First off - probably user error. I have a Dual Skyview HDX setup, with a Trig 56A Nav/Com and an Avidyne IFD440 GPS/Nav/Com. First off - the Trig radio works great and is controlled through the Dynon. The IFD440 GPS works great and I get Horizontal as well as Glidepath indications on the...

Why does 'HITS' disappear with DIRECT TO coupled with the Avidyne products?

Recently I upgraded my VFR Dynon setup with an Avidyne IFD 440. When I activate a flight plan on the IFD 440 it shows up on the Dynon and includes the HITS boxes. BUT if I get an instruction by ATC to go 'Direct To' and command the IFD 'Direct To' the HITS boxes disappear until we enter the next...

    Dynon Quick Tips on Youtube

I'll second that! Really enjoying them, and even though I've been flying my panel for a couple of years I've still learned stuff.

What is the better IFR navigator to interface with Dynon HDX?

I've finalised my choices for the IFR upgrade: Avidyne IFD 410 + Trig TX-56a + PS PMA 450C = IFR capable. Hoping to get the gear delivered in January 2025, and then installed right away. I'm thinking to streamline the installation of these components I'm going to look at the Faststack wiring...

    Trio

I ended up putting in a Trio autopilot - because the word I got from Dynon was that my aircraft will (probably, most likely, not in my lifetime) not ever be supported ----> 1961 172B. If you want a bit of background in the Dynon Factory: at about the 9 minute mark we see inside their hangar...

What is the better IFR navigator to interface with Dynon HDX?

I'm just in the planning stages for an IFR Light type panel upgrade. In my 172B I currently have the full HDX suite, with two screens and both knob panels and also the Trio Pro Pilot. Panel space, budget, and my flying style / IFR needs (not interested in flying down to minimums, I just want a...

Dynon Transponders and ADS-B in Canada

I‘m based in Canada, and I have the Dynon transponder with one antenna mounted on the bottom of my plane. I’m routinely ’seen’ by NavCanada controllers with ADS-B before I turn up on their RADAR, and or in places where RADAR isn’t available. (This is based on the controllers saying “I’ve got you...

    Cessna 172 Sink Rate? Ft/minute

Long week in the hangar and we fired up our panel for the first time - Maybe I'm just dead tired, but I can't seem to find the Sink Rate in Ft/minute to input into the computer. Anyone have a clue to throw out? I'll get to the math on Monday. Picture is from a 'test fit' we did to power on...
