Yes you can, but I am not 100% sure on certified. With 10.3.1.2 IFD Software you can connect the unit via serial and setup for SL30 protocols.

I had a new HDX1100 with that problem last June. Button 1 & 2 would not work every time. My serial number is higher than 35XXX. Called Dynon to setup a RMA, turned the screen around in a week.
