Two of my last three flights (IFR and FF) - I have been getting the message "transponder error" I set the transponder to the assigned code and ATC says it's indenting OK. But throughout the flight the error message remains What could be causing this erroneous error message?

Flew to work today with the USB cable plugged iin - loaded the Seattle avionics DB from the primary display and all worked as it should. So to be clear it was just the USP cable not being plugged into the back of the primary display that was the problem!!!!

Makes sense - So because there was no stick available on the primary display with the "extended" database the option was not available. But overall because the file load was made, the internal database was up to date on both displays via Ethernet. All - Thanks for the help clearing this up.

Just to wrap this thread up - I found that the USB cable from the back of the primary display was not connected to the slot on the dashboard. I have a Dual 10" display set-up. Recently I noticed that only the secondary display has the "PLT" option for displaying info. On the main display this is absent. is this normal or did something get "disturbed" at my last annual?

That's what I have found in my research as well. The only option I've seen out there would be Visual Instruments Cessna Replacement Flap Position Sender Unit 6000-0500 This runs about $500 This would be an option if it send voltage between 0-5V - I'll have to check out the specs.

Jesse - you did the install for me - is there a similar option on the landing gear indicator?
