I think the GPS 175 will be a game changer for Garmin. This looks like a nice unit at an attractive price. It would be nice in Dynon could develop a remote mounted IFR "certified" GPS that integrates with Skyview.
It turned out to be a bad GPS. This was a surprise to me, I would have bet the farm on a bad serial port. I am glad that I mounted the GPS in an accessible location.

Thanks Jake, I'll look at the wires again after work. The RX counter is going up, and the map has started to draw twice while sitting on the ramp. I don't think it's a wire problem, but who knows.

After power up today the GPS-250 was not detected. The system has work flawlessly for months and I have not changed the configuration. I seem to remember someone saying that they disconnected the SV-BAT-320 to correct weird behavior on start up. I have looked through the posts and did not see...

I just went out and checked my SkyView and the Memphis class-B looks good. It must be a setting issue or something. I don't remember doing anything special about the map setup. Congrats on the flight and for getting the BMA stuff out of your F1.

I received my SkyView last Friday and performed a quick bench test. With the ADAHRS level, the pitch attitude showed about +37 degrees. The user guide says that you can make a maximum pitch adjustment of +or- 20 degrees. Has anyone else had issues with this, or am I missing somethig in the...
