Setting the SkyView AP to EXPERT mode requires that two SkyView AP servos (Roll and Pitch) are installed. If only one servo (either Roll only, or Pitch only) is installed, the SkyView AP can only be set to SIMPLIFIED mode.

I was not clear - for the AP-Panel to work the sky view must be set to expert mode , and this is when two servos must be connected . If not the AP-Panel will not work .

My servo arrived and an AP panel , so hooked it up to start the data capture and analysis process - but alas , I then established that autopilot functionality requires a minimum of 2 serves to be active on the SV1000 . If I get this working, I will ensure that I do not publish any protocols...

Guess will just have to hook up a protocol analyser with an rs485 interface , then implement functions on the Skyview , and then capture bi directional packets related to each function and document the protocol which would then allow the edge device to emulate a mini servo. . At least when...

Is there any chance of sharing what you have of the protocol ? . If so please send to my email ( hedley.davidson@gmail.com) . My end point would be to capture the rs485 ? dataflow packets, and then build two ' sv servo ' emulators with a small microcontroller that would drive a little stepper...

An install of 2x sv700 show an exclamation mark before the time I. Top centre of the displays . We updated the software to the latest version with no change . If anyone has seen this and knows the cause and how to fix this please let me know - thanks in advance

When I power up my skyview 1000 classic the warning is displayed and it says - demo mode. Please send the utility and procedure to turn this off to hedley@cynaps.co.za

on my SV1000 If I go to nearest the answer is no airports within 200nM . I am based in South Africa . Question - Does the map system work in south africa and if so what is required to get this working . ??

Dynon have the setup . They use it in their training classes so all the discussion about the cost and resources is off point. Why can dynon not document and price the setup as used in their training class and be done with it . They must have a utility running on a lc that talks to the skyview...

Check out the new epic on x-plane has skyview simulator . Perhaps dynon could work with the developer to ensure it stays in sync with latest release . Ideally dynon would provide protocol so flight sims can be connected to real instruments . They must know how to do this as they have a working...
