    “Too many WiFi devices”

IP addresses are not configurable. This setup has worked flawlessly since 2015…until now. BTW WiFi connection works just fine. It’s just the repeating, annoying alert message that’s the problem.

    Vertical guidance

    Got it. Thanks.

    Vertical guidance

Looks like this except for the indicator being magenta. I do not have a nav radio or an autopilot.

    Vertical guidance

Thanks. Does this include the pop-up glideslope indicator? I’ll try to get a photo. Page 7-34 deals with traffic and ADSB.

    Vertical guidance

I have a Skyview classic system. VFR. No autopilot. Recently a glideslope indicator has begun popping up when I’m approaching an airport. It goes away when I’m about 1 mile away. It’s nice but I’d like to know what’s feeding the data. I do not have a nav radio. Is it GPS advisory only? Is it...

    “Too many WiFi devices”

I have begun getting the error message periodically while flying: “Too many WiFi Devices”. I have the same iPhone and iPad I’ve been using for years. I can’t find anything in the manual or on the forums. Any ideas? BTW I have a three screen Skyview Classic system. Error is only on the PFD. I...

    EGT Sensor problem

I moved the EGT sensor to another cylinder and tested. It was certainly the sensor that was the problem. I replaced it. These things are not cheap. I only have 175 hours on it. I sure hope this was a fluke.

    EGT Sensor problem

Similar problem here. #2 cylinder on left engine. Was spiking to max temp at startup. If I reset Lane A problem goes away. Now it will occasionally spike when advancing to full throttle from cruise, but it no longer spikes on startup. Cycling Lane A works every time. I'll check the EGT...

    Inaccurate Airspeed

Interesting zero calibration experience: Symptom: My Skyview airspeed indication was 6MPH higher than the steam gauge. I confirmed the steam gauge was correct by flying on a calm day and comparing GPS (at 800 feet) and also by confirming known stall speed, clean. BTW I'm flying a Lockwood...

I am SO sick of the SA app

I agree. In my experience, SA's emailed tech support is responsive, even in the evenings (on the East Coast). Steve got me up and running.

I am SO sick of the SA app

Another data point. Same computer hardware configuration. All chart data previously downloaded. I'm loading all data onto the sticks except IFR Charts. 25 regions. It takes 2.5 hours per stick with 2.0USB sticks. It takes 1.0 hours per stick with 3.0USB sticks.

I am SO sick of the SA app

So with the help of Steve at SA Support (mostly between 6-8PM last night) I succeeded in updating 3 USB sticks. I had to reformat and reinstall all of the data. It takes 2.5 hours per stick  (these are USB 2.0) after the files have been downloaded. I am not loading any IFR charts and only 25...

I am SO sick of the SA app

    Thanks. That sounds reasonable.

I am SO sick of the SA app

So assume the files have been downloaded and you have 3.0USB on the computer and the stick. How long should it take to initially load the data, let's include IFR and do everything just for the sake of argument?

I am SO sick of the SA app

I've contacted SA Support and submitted a log report. Waiting to hear back. It would be nice to have a Seattle Avionics forum. As evidenced by this one, pilots do help pilots and can take the pressure off of tech support. I'm curious: assuming a modern Windows machine and a 3.0USB stick, how...
