Hello,
Yesterday morning I completed a 1.5 hour flight with no issues with my Dynon setup. In the afternoon, with no changes to the airplane or avionics, my HDX1100 failed to boot. My normal process is to boot up off the backup battery, start the engine and then turn on the Avionics master...
Sorry you are having this issue. It is a stretch, but have you tried reducing the data log collection rate? The data log should roll over when it gets to a certain size. Just a guess based on it happening every other flight. My next concern would be possible overheating?
Jim
It is probably be a stretch, but does the same thing happen with and without the backup battery connected? Do single presses of buttons 2 and 5 reliably respond to being pressed such as Direct (2) and Flight plan (5)? Looks like there is any outside chance this thread may be related to your...
Thank you for the suggestion and I hope that Dynon delivers. After 5 years and almost 800 flights, my hdx1100 buttons 7 and 8 are becoming more challenging to register, even hard presses, the required time to get to the Clear Log submenu. I clear logs before the start of a flight and only...
It is a long shot, but have you tried changing the receive frequency? I had a 2018 model T25 that had static and showed the receive light on for certain frequencies. Dynon replaced the radio with an updated model (still labelled as a T25) that works great. You indicated the problem occurs with...
But if you happen to be using the harness based USB connection, it will no longer work with the Version 2 HDX (all new hdx displays being shipped have a few new internal hardware components).
I believe the only option is to press hold the right (map) knob once you have landed. Assumes you have a Seatle avionics or airmate subscription, airport diagrams downloaded to a usb drive, and the USB drive connected to your skyview.
I'm sorry to see this as a permanent decision. Do you support a USB connection splitter? I'm installing V2 hardware dual Hdx1100 and the back usb ports will be overused with dynon WiFi, Seattle av maps on a thumb drive, and a dynon usb video adapter. My plan was to build my own D37 harnesses...
Hello,
Any forum members happen to have experience installing dynon auto-pilot servos in a Bushby Mustang II by adapting an available dynon kit?
Thanks,
Jim
I am very happy with using FlyQ as a moving map, ads-b in traffic and weather using the hdx wifi information. The ability to have an iPad as an HDX screen content duplicator would be very interesting!!
Are all users experiencing this issue have software version 16.3.2 installed? I have not problems with wifi using a D1000 and 16.2.4 (I'm NOT saying that 16.2.4 is a fix)
Sorry to hear about your upgrade issue. I believe there is a way to back level the system. Dynon support periodically monitors this forum, but I would suggest sending this information to support@dynonavionics.com
Good luck, I hope your issue is resolved quickly
Hi,
Do you have a USB drive connected/inserted in the SkyView? If so, please consider trying to power it on without the USB connected. Since the screen eventually does boot up, it is unlikely the issue, but some higher capacity USB drives cause the boot up process to fail.
