I have done the monthly update and it was successful. On reboot, I get the "out of date" message. Any indicator on what is causing this? I use only formatted USB flash drives and this just started last month.
In reviewing the D10 wiring, there is 2 power pins and 2 ground pins. If I just plug into the D30, I would assume the extra power pin would not matter.
The last two months the update uploads normally. The next flight it says my data is out of date. I use my IFD440 for navigation but it is concerning that it’s not updating. Anyone else having this issue?
Check your servo cable. I have had cable slippage twice. This will cause a back and forth roll as the servo isn't holding the cable tight. Make sure you have someone help tighten the servo cable onto your rigging. Also, torque the bolts on the clamps. If this continues, you will need to remove...
I have the Flaps indicator on my HDX. I have a Cessna 172. They told me at the shop that it was an additional module had to be installed. A $500 dollar addition. It works great! Air Plains in Kansas did my install. Call and ask the shop there. Tell them you saw it on 3947R. They should be able...
In getting ready for the IFR check ride, I was wanting to be able to have a back up plan if my avidyne were to go kaput. I have the Dynon coms in my #1 position and the Avidyne 440 in position #2. Is Dynon developing a com/navigator that I could replace their current coms in the future to have...
I received an email from Dynon support walking through the steps to identify a shear screw failure. Their process is correct, however, if the clamps have slipped on the cable it will mimic a shear screw failure. I would recommend to open the inspection panels and inspect first to ensure that all...
Had the opportunity to work through a AP issue on my Cessna 172. When flying on a very bumpy day I set the AP up for an approach and it wouldn't capture the navigation. Upon landing and putting the plane in the hangar I opened the inspection ports to verify the servo cable hadn't slipped. I had...
I was flying the RNAV (GPS) RWY 23 into Anderson Regional (AND) on Sunday afternoon and my vertical glideslope would disappear and come back intermittently. I maintained my configuration and continued to descend.
Has anyone had this issue? Is it my equipment or the Airports?
Thanks,
I received a System 3 Event message last night. What causes these? I have searched all of the manuals I have and I don't see anything about system events and what causes them or what to do about them. Note: Plane was in the hangar and I was calibrating my AP when this item came up.
