G5 looks great. I have a network hub and 2 backup batteries mounted behind the D3 so I would have to move those. My ultimate backup is my Butler parachute if it all goes to heck

It’s the Dynon D3. The backup internal battery can last up to 8 hours. It is hard wired to charge off the skyview. I also have backup batteries for each HDX. When I fly IFR I also mount a sportys handheld on the right with radio and ILS capabilities.

You would also like on the back of my headrest for the back seater to see I have a sticker "Stop screaming, I'm scared too"

Thanks Rhino. My 10 inch classic screen has the 37 pin which will connect to the DB37 pinout on my new 10 inch HDX. I will then connect the Ethernet to the new 7 inch HDX and 9 pin network cables into the network hub and then connect that to the 7 inch HDX. My question is will I need to splice...

Jim, Just following up on the install. Looking at switching out my classic D1000 for an HDX 10 inch and adding a 7 inch HDX. Want the 7 inch mostly for approach plates and mapping. Did you have to splice in anything or did the Ethernet and 9 pin network cable handle the second screen?
