Last weekend, my 10" HDX system reset while in flight. I downloaded the diagnostic zip data to the USB drive after I landed.

Is there a contact at Dynon who can review the diagnostic file?

Thank you

PS. I tried to unzip the file but it was protected with a password. Is there an alternative way to view the content?

Hi there,

If you use this link to submit the files to us, someone will be able to review them to see what caused the reset.

Diagnostic File Upload Link

Those files are password protected, so there's not much that can be viewed in the field with those specifically. We have a program that unpacks them and allows us to analyze the data.

Same happened to me (Skyview Touch) poking at a map item for info. I have a diagnostic zip but the page above shows no upload facility.

To Dynon Support, do you have any update to this HDX reset?
Thanks
In looking through the diagnostic data a bit this morning, I see that the files show you're running 17.1.0. Have you updated to the newest version that came out recently? (17.3.0)

There was some work done by our software team with respect to system reboots and system events. There is still ongoing work to prevent any kind of system reboot, but if you haven't performed the recent update, it's recommended to do so for cases like this.

The only system event that I see in the logs is a system event 3, which can happen if the system is not happy with a USB type connection. That could mean the data on the USB is corrupted, the USB stick itself is failing, or the USB port that it's plugged into lost the proper connection. So if you're using USB's for updates, charts/plates, or WiFi, it appears to have been something with that type of connection that caused the system to re-set. Others have tried a fresh USB, tried to plug into one of the other USB ports that are available, or wipe and download new data onto the USB to prevent a system re-set.
