Is there a way to easily download a file off of the Skyview Touch screens if upgrading to the HDX screens, and transfer over to the new HDX unit, or do you have to start from scratch and manually configure every sensor, trim setting, canopy latch indicator, CHT sensor, flaps, stall speeds, engine temp ranges, etc, etc?

Same methodology applies regardless whether you accessed the “Trade Up” program or not.
You will also need ‘black menu’ file from support - it enables the bottom engine band on the new screens. Although this is enabled normally you lose it when you transfer the saved files from the SV units.
VPX Licence - if you have it on the SV Touch you need to contact support & advise the S/n of the existing SV that the VPX Licence is on at present & the new HDX S/n that you want to transfer it to. They will give you a new ‘unlock’ code.
HTH.

Regarding the parameters you may have modified to your plane (RPM ranges, voltage, amperage, Caution/Warning values for any sensor you modified originally) all you need to do is export the User Settings file from the original screen. This contains all the parameters. Import the file onto the HDX and all your settings will be there and correct. The engine readings will be positioned along the bottom of the screen as is standard for the HDX. You will initially have the default layout if the HDX is new or has been reset to factory defaults but this only means which items are displayed and where. All of the parameters you monitored before will be available but you will have to place the items you want to see in the position you wish to view them. After importing the User Settings each (RPM, voltage, amperage etc) will have the color bands and Caution/Warning bands you originally set. It is a very simple process.

skysailor - have you ever done the SV to HDX change ? The engine band, on the bottom of the HDX screen, will not be displayed if you save the settings from the SV & transfer them to the HDX the OP needs the ‘black menu’ ( it’s called that because the bottom band will be black (empty) when the data/files are swapped from SV To HDX.

I only did one Classic to HDX and it worked as I described. I wonder if perhaps the black menu file you mention was already loaded into the operating system?

Just closing this out with a reply from Dynon a few months ago re my question about transferring from a Classic SV to HDX ----
"Jake,
It will work ok doing that in most cases. Problem is that the default bottom EMS band will be black after the settings load. I have a file to restore it to default, but I need to see the sensor input mapping
settings to make sure there are no conflicts as it causes it to boot loop".
