You‘re probably right. I’d done a manual export of settings, which didn’t help when I reloaded it, so I was stuck for a while. I wasn’t expecting to find anything in a folder, as Skyview can’t read them from there, so I’d never explored it before.

Sorry, should have told you this with the first post: I'm away from the aircraft at the moment, but it's the latest release which would make it 14.2.1. It's a Garmin 795.  I also checked its firmware to be the latest, but again can't quote you the version number.

We've been getting instances lately of a momentary white-on-grey (i.e. low priority) message alert.  It's accompanied by the audio "message" and might happen half a dozen times in a flight or not at all. A check of the datalogs shows that it's related to a loss of GPS data to the ADS-B output. ...
