    Small size of AOA

Are you talking about headset total volume? Or specifically the AOA alert tone volume? Are you aware that you can set the volume for the AOA tone separately from everything else in the Setup menu under the Audio section?

    Winds Aloft always shows 99

Almost certainly a compass calibration problem, yes. There is a ground calibration you need to do first (compass rose is very helpful for this) and then an in-air calibration as well after the ground calibration. If the problem persists beyond that, then you likely have some magnetic...

    Anyone see a problem here?

It's been discussed here before, I know I have said it specifically in response to you previously at least once. During the download of the approach plates and diagrams from your computer to your USB, sometimes the program stops displaying the progress in the middle of the transfer. The transfer...

Dynon Install guide vs Wiring Diagram (for Pitot)

With the variety of capabilities of the various inputs on the EMS, it would be a good thing to bring your inputs into the "dumbest" pin on the EMS that will serve the purpose of that wire. You will likely find later on that you need to add this widget or that, and some of them will require the...

    Dynon Avionics Shop

Agreed. Call Bill Repucci at seven oh four six oh seven four five seven two. He's not far from you, and can either help you out directly or will know someone who can. Tell him Greg sent you. Bill is a Skyview Beta tester like me, he knows the system backwards and forwards.

Updating Multiple USBs - Seattle Avionics

I've had no luck with multiple simultaneous USB loads. Just keep one in the computer and load the other two while enjoying breakfast and coffee.

    Weird Weather display

The magenta strips are areas where radar data is not available yet, still uplinking to you.

I've noticed it here as well - running Windows 11 and Chrome

AP flys straight through ILS Glideslop

Yeah, a 200-knot glideslope capture might be problematic :p

    Circuit breakers

They will - for a while - but they are prone to failure due to the internal copper braid current carrier flexing on each actuation. I've lost 2 in just over 1600 hours in my airplane. I'm not saying don't use them - I'm saying don't use them on flight-critical circuits. Anything you can't live...

    SkyView network redundancy

The skyview network already has two data paths within each individual cable for redundancy, that covers you for a break in a wire or pin that takes out one data path (2 wires each in the 9-wire bundle), leaving the other data path valid and generating an error message on the Skyview telling you...

A very good question - think I'll play with that...

    SA does it again.

I've seen this before, several times. During the second set of updates, for the approach plates and diagrams, sometimes it stops updating the progress of the load on to the USB. The load is still happening - but you can't see the progress - go get a beer and sit on the porch for a bit and come...

Fuel flow reading 0.0 and fuel remaining not decreasing

Odds are high that this is a wiring problem on the flow sensor, rather than a physical sensor problem. The flow sensors are pretty robust - the wiring, not so much.

    Vertical guidance

You're seeing the VFR version of VNAV that Dynon provides. This is a "glideslope" that can be coupled to the autopilot if you have one, or handflown, and provides a 2-degree descent rate to traffic pattern altitude of your destination airport. It looks identical to a glideslope presented from an...

    SA does it again.

I've had this before - and with one exception, it was because the USB stick itself was getting so hot it failed to function. In my experience the SanDisk Ultra 32gb 3.0 drives give the best performance, I have very few problems with them. The very small form factor USB sticks are great for...

Software updates ---Owner Op not allowed??

Only if you purchase the airplane. If you build it yourself, you can obtain the Repairmans Certificate and sign off your own annual.

Software updates ---Owner Op not allowed??

I don't even have an "assist" on my annual, I do it all myself including the signoff. My dentist is pretty good, too.

    XPNDR ERROR

Likely you don't have enough voltage at the transponder - could be undersize wires, or a bad connection on either power or ground.
