With the apparent massive (anecdotal) use of IPad as an aid to aviation maybe Dynon should look at offering the D700 in portrait mode (as opposed to landscape) to give more panel space for the IPad ? especially for dual SV installations. 8-) Jake J

DS I have a SL30 connected directly to a D100 (no HS34) - OBS selection on the SL30 works in VOR/LOC mode (makes changes on the HSI as expected) but not in ILS mode. Why ?? Do we have to have an HS34 ? TIA Jake J

We have a B&C 40 amp Alternator fitted to an IO-360 & D120.  Since first engine run the ammeter shows a fluctuating high (+5 up to +36) amps output however volts are always stable at 14.1- 14.2.  Turning on 'loads' exacerbates the reading - any thoughts on why this is happening ?  Shunt is in...

FYI - I have had 2 separate instances of an EGTreading that was way too high (even with engine off). Fault was traced to a pin not fully inserted in the 25 pin Dsub on the prefabricated EGT/CHT loom. Hope this is of help to someone. Jake J

Just had a D120 shut itself off a while after engine start, engine battery and charging system was ok.  Turned unit back on and all now ok - Is there anything I can check if this problem presents again ? Jake J
