What does "allow unit to warm for 30 minutes" mean?

It's just what RVDan describes. The sensors need to stabilize their temperature before calibrating the zero point. As Rhino said, five minutes is probably sufficient in a warm environment but, from my experience, longer is better.

    ADSB "OK" and WX Radar/NEXRAD

I'd think that there's a problem with the area/altitude's you're flying at re: the ADS-B coverage displayed on the FAA's handy KML file, except the Stratus doesn't seem to be having trouble? If you're ever near KPSC, let me know and we'll look at your config and run the vector analyzer on your...

    Yoke A/P disconnect resistor

Correct. Not awake enough to do the unnecessary parallel resistance calculations. Tempted to futz around with a variable resistor and find a range that works but don't have time. Also, without knowing whether the trimamp was ever intended to work with the fault detect... Yes, this is a 182.

    Yoke A/P disconnect resistor

The wires for all the autopilot disconnect circuits come together at the button as shown in Dynon's diagram. The button itself has a 4.9k resistance across the NO contacts and the other contacts go straight to a ground (I'm using both contact pairs on a 2PDT pushbutton for redundancy). Removing...

    Yoke A/P disconnect resistor

Check out the latest version of the wiring example - it shows the trimamp connected directly to the autopilot disconnect button on pin 6. (Page 10/15 and 11/15 on revision "G".) I believe the intention is turning off the autotrim, in the event of runaway trim, with a single button press...

    Yoke A/P disconnect resistor

Where? I can't find that anywhere. What I can find is this: Revision O, Page 248 - "A 4.7 - 5.3k ohm resistor across the yoke-mounted AP DISC is required." That might imply a 5k but the two common resistor values in that range are actually 4.7k and 5.3k, at either end of the range they actually...

    Yoke A/P disconnect resistor

I'm having trouble with this as we speak with just one switch and a single 4.7k resistor (Dynon-provided, at that!) across it. Despite metering the resistors I have and confirming that they're ~4.73k or so, when soldered in-circuit (and with nothing else connected) the resistance I see across...

    ADSB "OK" and WX Radar/NEXRAD

Our experience has been that the blade-style L-band antenna have worse bandwidth and are more susceptible to RFI because of groundplane issues that aren't present in the ball-and-stick style. It's now our first move when trying to eliminate clicking noises in the headset on TPX reply to simply...

    Cessna 182P Panel CAD Drawings

Yeah, I gathered that just from your earlier description. I had just been hoping to see some closer detail of it, but it looks like I've arrived at a similar solution. :D

    Cessna 182P Panel CAD Drawings

Hey, thanks for this. It's strangely familiar. Unfortunately, all the key points I'm really curious about aren't actually present or easy to figure out from the video. Your panel has better/wider spacing of the display units which allows a bit more flexibility in the mounting and avoids having...

    Cessna 182P Panel CAD Drawings

How did you mount this, specifically? I've got a monolithic panel similar to this that I'm having difficulty mounting on a TR182. The panel provided to us has the displays centered over the yokes, which puts the co-pilot's display in the curve where Cessna had the panel canted over to give the...

    ADSB "OK" and WX Radar/NEXRAD

It should be noted that simply being able to turn the post on a "ball and stick" antenna is, in itself, not necessarily and indicator of failure. It's a simple rod antenna in an insulator sleeve. The ones Dynon provides are splined to index with the plastic but I can easily turn the brand new...

I'm interested in acquiring an HS34 as well, working or not.

    D100 update using windows 10

It's even a little deeper (and petty) than that. FTDI invalidated their own drivers for even genuine chips of a certain vintage rather than allow the counterfeits to work properly. This was after tremendous backlash from an update they issued that literally bricked counterfeits. The device...
